The senior lecturer\/facilitator is\u00a0Janet Sanders<\/span><\/strong><\/em>, (leadership, collaboration, community building, social artistry, international development).<\/p>\n

Janet<\/strong><\/em> will be co-teaching with Douglas Banner <\/em><\/strong>(educational leadership, narrative, myth and legend, cultural change, educational research).<\/p>\n

Scott Miller<\/strong><\/em> (social artistry, author of teenage books, leadership, myth, creativity, successful school turnaround)<\/p>\n

Pancho Geerman<\/em> <\/strong>(sociology, culture, learning and change).<\/p>\n

Juliet Chieuw<\/em> <\/strong>(program support and facilitation, mindfulness practices, group facilitation and coordination, quality assurance).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Tuition and registration<\/h2>\n

This\u00a0Post-Bachelor PDC<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>program entitled\u00a0Educational Leadership for Collaboration<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>is made possible through European funds. Participants in this program only need to download all the required reading materials.\u00a0The deadline for applying for the program is 5 pm on Nov. 28, 2016<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The filled\u00a0application form<\/a>\u00a0can be sent to\u00a0cll@ua.aw<\/a>. Notification of acceptance into the program will be through email by\u00a0Dec. 2, 2016<\/span><\/u><\/strong>. Only upon returning a signed confirmation of acceptance into the program, will the course syllabus and reading list be supplied via EDU 2.0.\u00a0This signed confirmation, which is the last requirement, must be received at CLL no later than 5 pm on Dec. 9, 2016<\/strong>.<\/span><\/u><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Awakening the Collaborative Leader in you<\/span><\/h3>\n

In these complex times, leaders need to develop a deeper awareness of who they are and their state of mind in real time in order to engender collaborative action with clarity, compassion and effectiveness. The\u00a0Post-Bachelor Professional Development Certificate <\/span><\/strong>(PDC<\/span><\/strong>) program in\u00a0Educational Leadership for Collaboration<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>presents a multi-disciplinary approach to educational leadership focusing on collaboration as a new way of \u2018doing business\u2019 in constantly changing educational settings. The purpose of this program is to provide professional development for educational leaders (current and emerging), enabling them to be effective, innovative and collaborative in their organizations by tapping into personal and collective reservoirs of effective action, symbolism, myth and wisdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Specifically, the program covers four competency areas:<\/td>\n<\/td>\n1) personal growth<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/td>\n<\/td>\n2) inter-personal and facilitation skills<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/td>\n<\/td>\n3) organizational development<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/td>\n<\/td>\n4) creating a working model of collaboration<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

This\u00a0Post-Bachelor Program consists of:<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Four 3-day on-site face-to-face seminars with international faculty.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u2022 Action-research projects (ARP) in the school-setting.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u2022 Monthly on-site facilitated interaction to foster community building among program participants and group learning.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u2022 Three individual coaching and mentoring sessions with faculty online for personal development and ARP progress.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u2022 Interactive learning, personal and shared inquiry, group research and on-the-job practical application of tools and concepts.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u2022 Assessment through class participation, short reflective papers, an action research project, and a final ARP report.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

On-site sessions provide in-depth instruction and practice of skills at four levels of leadership awareness. Individual and group coaching sessions help participants integrate and apply their learning.<\/p>\n

This\u00a0Professional Development Certificate<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>(PDC<\/span><\/strong>) program offered by the\u00a0University of Aruba<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>is a 15 European credit program (each credit is 28 clock hours) at a post-bachelor level.<\/p>\n
